Photo Non-Contest #184 -- Curves

Written Inc has declared this "curves" week, so I chose a shot of Scara Brae, a 5000-year-old village with curved walls.  It's rather Suessian, don't you think?

  1. Would the roof have extended over the open parts? Either way, it's attractive.

    1. Originally, Dean, the town was built into a midden, so, yes, there were roofs. It was only revealed after a bad storm about 150 years ago, which is why it's so well-preserved still.

Orkney is incredible. If you ever get the chance to visit it, do so.

  4. 5,000 year old walls - way cool. Love how the grass is growing on the top of them.
