I'm not feeling too creative with this theme. It seems that every other blog I've checked has had much better ideas than I do; nevertheless, here's my take on Written Inc's theme for this week.
Rough water and rough rocks at Devil's Churn on a misty morning on the Oregon Coast last summer:
These look a LOT better when they're enlarged. Please click on them to see them full-sized.
Ahhh, rough seas. Brings back memories, the roughest seas I remember seeing were when I was 10 and we crossed the English Channel on the ferry. The night before it was smooth as glass, but during our trip it was so rough waves were breaking over the bow of the boat. My little brother and father were having a blast running around on deck, while the rest of us were sitting inside, bags at hand. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I got seasick crossing the English Channel, too. But this is far from the Channel. And I merely hiked down a path and out onto the rocks to get these pics.
ReplyDeleteI really like the second one.
ReplyDeleteLove the rough seas - best looking at them from land! Thanks for commenting on my photos - yes, it was near Orkney. Unfortunately we couldn't land there due to the rough seas, which was a shame as we had friends waiting to take us round the island. In fact it was a very rough cruise all together could only land at 3 out of 7 "poers of supposed call"!
ReplyDeleteI beg to differ: These are lovely. The tone does it for me: Foggy and moody air, framed by dramatic landscape surrounding angry water. This is as rough as it gets. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone.
ReplyDeleteAnd, Gilly, I thought it was, even though I flew into Orkney and didn't come by water.
